Puppy Love Pets PUPPY MILL!!! PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT ANIMAL ABUSE Bailey, North Carolina

I bought a maltipoo from Puppy Love Pets in late October of last year. We drove 5 hours one way to get her and when we got there and requested to see the mother and father of the puppy she told us they were already asleep and we could not see them. Our little princess was already sitting in a small cage in the front by herself. I so badly wanted to refuse to take her without seeing the facility and the parents but I simply could not leave her there!!
 
I immediately took her to the vet within 12 hours of having her to get her checked out. The vet seemed very uneasy about the paperwork given to me by the breeder and the lack of detailed treatment records. My vet suggested I go ahead and have the initial shots given to her again. She had coccidiosis and was suspected to also be developing a hernia.
 
She was treated for coccidiosis and was taken to the vet for regular check up and shots. Eventually the vet said it did not appear to be a hernia. A few weeks following her turning 6 months she was taken to the emergency room because she was not able to defecate properly. She was tested, given fluids, several vitamin shots and an antibiotic. The cause remains unknown but after 4-5 days she was functioning normally again. 

In May of 2011, my little princess started limping on her back right leg. After several visits and x-rays at our regular vet, we were sent to Carolina Veterinary Specialist in Winston-Salem, NC. $2,700 later, she has had two knee surgeries from an a-typical disorder where her knee caps popped out of joint.
 
I'm not worried about the money I've spent on her, I have just been alerted by friends of the awful situation animals are in through these puppy mills. I WANT SOMETHING DONE!!! There isn't an animal in this world that deserves to be held hostage and made to reproduce puppies every time they are in heat and never enjoy a real life. I feel terribly for supporting such a cruel and cold hearted business and want to help others from doing the same.
