I bought Puritan's Pride chelated Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc product about 6 months back. I have trouble with muscle cramps and twitches and this product from other suppliers has worked well in the past. I could not figure out why I kept having increasing problems with cramping that just seemed to get worse as the months rolled by.
Finally on the 22nd of March I had a muscle pull/cramp that was so bad it broke many capillaries on my right hamstring and I ended up with a massive bruise and blood spot. It was sore for two weeks. I was suspicious of the supplement, so I let my health care professional test them to see if they indeed contained any Cal/Mag/Zinc.
She found out there was no Cal/Mag/Zinc in them! She said the tablets did contain the "other ingredients" that are on the label along with some sodium. This company is fraudulent, period.

Expecting too much

I think you might be expecting too much from your supplements. Puritan's Pride is part of NBTY--a $2.4 billion company in business for over 50 years. I find it hard to believe they would be so successful for so long if they didn't put the actual supplements in the bottle. Sounds a little far fetched to me - I think someone might have noticed if this was a business practice besides you in all these years...no?
