I brought in a pair of $180.00 dress slacks to have dry-cleaned.

That evening when I went to pick them up, they were not there. They told me to come back the next day---I did, nothing. They told me to come back the next day---I did, same thing--nothing. This went on for a few days.

Finally, I asked to speak to the owner. I was told, "The owner can't help you." (I found the owner's name after research is HOSSAIN QUAZI).

I was given the name of a manager, "Danny". I called him and he said "Oh yea, I remember those slacks. They are at my other store. Give me until tomorrow and I will call you once I get them." Of course he never called back.

I finally called him, and he admitted he could not locate them. I informed him I would like to put in a claim. He asked, "How much were you thinking?" I informed him I paid $180.00 for the slacks. He then literally flew off the handle and started screaming at me, "$180.00? No one pays $180.00 for slacks". I told him I wanted $120.00 for the slacks, which were six months old, and he has until the end of day to cut me a check or I will take the company to small claims court.

His response? "When a customer loses an item at my business, they play by MY RULES!!!! You won't get anything more than 10 times the cost to dry-clean them!" (which is $19.90).

I am indeed taking them to court over this. If you currently give them your business, just know what to expect in the event something goes "wrong"---as it eventually will they will not assume liability whatsoever.

Actually, I am a loyalty club member where I purchased the slacks, thus they had my purchase transaction in their database.

To that end---I finally received the slacks from the cleaners three weeks later (and they looked like they had been dragged through the mud). Regardless, just a fair warning if you deal with this cleaners. We all understand accidents happen, but they will tell you to go to he** if they lose anything of yours. Just a warning.

Receipt?

You did not mention if you had a receipt or not. But if you are claiming the pants were $180 you better have proof. If you go to court without proof the judge may not take too kindly to you.
