After receiving the Million Subs promotion coupon, I went to four Quiznos locations only to find that not a single one participated in the promotion. Several friends in other states reported similar experiences. This was a scam to drive traffic to the stores but many franchise owners (yes, they can refuse to participate) did not participate. I for one had never eaten a Quiznos sub, usually going to Blimpie, and after this experience, don't intend to spend any of my hard earned money at any Quiznos.
Short sighted franchise owners turned a marketing opportunity and a chance to earn a loyal customer into an experience sure to drive customers away and generate lots of negative publicity. Good for them!

I'll use your theory

"What if I invited YOU to my house for dinner one night, and when you arrived, I told you there is no dinner. What would YOU think ???"
I'd look for the 24 year old Macallan. You do stock that...right? If not, I am outathere.
Your analogy is poor at best.
It works like this...What if I invited YOU to someone else's house for dinner...and there is no dinner. I would have just as much invested in the FREE dinner I am offering you from someone else, as the Quiznos Corporate advertisement has at the franchise stores. ZERO!!!!! NADA!!!!! ZIP!!!!! NOTHING!!!!!
As such, I am sure you would now be mad at the unfortunate occupant of the mystery house that was not expecting you for dinner, as opposed to me, the person who offered you something that is NOT mine to give.
"And, yes, you ARE a shill, with little knowlege of business practices and administration."
Uh huh. I have owned 3 different repair shops, and all made money. I sold one, and closed the other two when I got bored. One when I left NC, and the other when I left FL. The day I closed both, customers helped me load the trucks, and even helped me put the stuff in storage. For a guy who knows nothing, I sure do own alot of cool toys. And all of it paid for in full.

When a company sends me a coupon to receive something FREE, and I go there, I EXPECT to receive my item. Otherwise, I perceive the business to be LIARS. What if I invited YOU to my house for dinner one night, and when you arrived, I told you there is no dinner. What would YOU think ??? Yes, Quiznos sent me an invitation to come to the local store for a FREE sandwiche, but after reading all of the reports of ABSOLUTELY no Quiznos honoring these coupons, I just threw mine away. A company sends out coupons such as these in order to get more people to try their products and thereby, gain more customers. Not honoring coupons DRIVES AWAY potential business. This fiasco has, in fact, given Quiznos an even worse reputation than it already had. And, as for the prices, Quiznos is NO BETTER than Blimpey, Subway, or anywhere else. And, yes, you ARE a shill, with little knowlege of business practices and administration.

to be a schill for all of these companies that you report on only. Don't you wish you actually got the paychecks for all of these supposed jobs.
Actually, Kevin, the coupons work just like Robert told you. It's the same with any company that has corporate owned and franchised owned stores. That's why even at McDonalds you may not be able to use the coupon you receive in the paper/mail/etc. That's why the coupon itself will state that it will be accepted only at participating locations. If you were that concerned you could have called and found a location before you used all your precious time and gas.

Blimpie is the CHEAPest of the sub chains. Quiznos is the most expensive. The ONLY reason you went there is for FREE food.
When the food was not FREE, you went right back to CHEAP.

Shame on Quiznos for sending Robert to post these rebuttals on Quiznos rip-off reports.
I went there to try them out, which I assume is one of the reasons Quiznos offered this promotion. Instead, they wasted my time and gas and if web reports are accurate, the time and gas of hundreds if not thousands of others. Way to alienate potential customers!

Like everyone who wants FREE, the only reason you went there was to get FREE. The store has lost nothing by refusing the coupons. They would lose money if they accepted them.
Franchisees actually know how to do those types of offers. They send their own coupons to their own regular customers, or customers that haven't been seen in a awhile. Nobody has ever gained a customer through them.
