Quiznos sandwich have great tasting sandwiches.  Their sandwiches are smaller than Subway, but they try to make it look longer by cutting the sandwich slanted.

I receive coupons in the mail from Quiznos about twice a month.  I cut all the coupons out and put in my car so I will have choices when I go out to have lunch from work twice a week.  Some of the Quiznos I have been to in the last 10 years do not take coupons.  They post a printed 8.5 x 11 paper on every door stating that they do not take coupons.  This number grew steadily in the last 5 years.  I can say most if not all of the Quiznos I visited lately do not take coupons.  Why do corporate even mail them out?

The coupons are to trick you to enter their restaurants so they can tell you they dont take coupons.  What do you do?  You stay because you are not that cheap to leave the restaurant.

This is bait and switch!

Quiznos is the worse franchise company I have encountered!  There is no way to communicate to corporate on their website.  You can only compliant to the individual restaurants that you had problems with.  Good luck with that!  Dont forget to provide your cellphone number.

How is this a "bait & switch?"

AUTHOR: Ken - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, July 13, 2012
"Bait-and-switch is a form of fraud, most commonly used in retail sales but also applicable to other contexts. First, customers are "baited" by advertising for a product or service at a low price; second, the customers discover that the advertised good is not available and are "switched" to a costlier product,"

What was the advertised good that was not available and what product were you switched to?

"Why do corporate even mail them out? The coupons are to trick you to enter their restaurants so they can tell you they dont take coupons.  What do you do?  You stay because you are not that cheap to leave the restaurant."

Most franchise agreements allow the franchises to opt out of special offers if they see fit.

If you don't like it, don't go there...and again it is NOT a "bait and switch."

A better move would be to tell management at the non-coupon taking frachises that you will go elsewhere.

Not bait and switch

AUTHOR: Ashley - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 13, 2012

Bait and switch is where a company advertises an item for a certain price, when you go to buy the item they are typcally out of stock and try to sell you a different item for a higher price.

Quiznos is not doing this. The coupons are valid, you just have to find on that will take it. They also say on the coupon, "valid at participating locations only"

Most franchisers are not required to accept corporate coupons. You will likely need to find a corporately owned store or a franchisee that will accept the coupon.

Not a ripoff.
