QX Telecom (QX Phone Card; WQ Long Distance; Quality Exchange Communications)QX Telecom (WQ Long Distance) ripoff dishonest ripoffs rip off scam con artists ripoff artists fraud ripoff con-artists took us for all we had Quantico Virginia .....

I first discovered this scam after discovering 3 months of unauthorized charges to my credit card of $59.78 each. I contacted QX Telecom and they said I had ordered the service and should have received a phone card in the mail (I never did). They said they would send me another card. I waited a month and did not receive one. I called back and they gave me my calling information over the phone.

They agreed to refund the last two charges, however, I had to pay the first. After cancelling my card, I had 5000 minutes to burn. I sent the information to all my friends to use up the mintues. I've been calling the card to check on the minutes which were almost depleted. I called today and was shocked to find the card fully recharged.

I checked my credit card statement online and on 14 Feb my credit card was charged $59.78 for another phone card without my authorization.

I called tonight and the service representative said that I called them on 14 December and recharged the card. When I asked them who called and recharged the card he said all they have is a note, they don't write down the persons name. I know this is a lie because the card was not depleted during December there was no reason for anyone to call to reactive the card. This company is totally out of control.

I told him I wish to file a complaint. He said I have to submit a letter. I told him to cancel the card and I am out another $59.78. How do I get rid of these guys???

Dear Sir,

On 16 March 03, I filed the below complaint with your company. Please acknowledge receipt and provide me a status of what action is pending.

I demand a refund of $59.78 due to the unauthorized charge to my account.

Dear Sir,

After 3 charges appeared on my credit card, I contacted your company to have the charges refunded because I was unaware I had ordered your product. You agreed to refund two payments (of which you double charged me), but you said you were unwilling to refund my first payment.

Since I never received a phone card from you, you provided me my PIN over the phone. I made it very clear to you during our phone discussion(s) NOT TO MAKE ANY FURTHER DEBITS TO MY CREDIT CARD, and your customer service representative said NO FURTHER CHARGES WOULD BE MADE.

On 14 FEB, you again DEBITED MY CREDIT CARD for $59.78. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE YOU TO DO THIS AND DISTINCTLY TOLD YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE IN DECEMBER NOT TO!

Back in December, I was told by your customer representative the card would not recharge automatically. Since I never called to request another card, who authorized this charge? I want you to STOP CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD. I DO NOT WANT YOUR SERVICE.

I have filed a complaint with the FCC via their website.

Please check out the website www.RipOffReport.com and conduct a search under QX:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/default.asp It is comforting to know, I'm not the only one who has been RIPPED OFF. I sincerely doubt your company will stay in business long. You do not have appropriate ethics to survive in today's business world.

If you refuse to refund my money, provide me the information on who authorized you to debit my credit card on 14 Feb so I can follow up with appropriate authorities.
