We made a prepaid reservation for a room at the Radisson Hotel in Oakland, California. We arrived and were told by the front desk that they refused to honor our reservation. No reason was given. We immediately phoned the toll free number for Radisson and the customer service agent was zero help.

We ended up having to secure and pay for another hotel room at another hotel. Since that night of February 16, 2019, I’ve spoke to numerous Radisson customer service reps to get our refund to no avail. I’ve been told everything from a refund was issued to us (no refund was ever issued) and that they couldn’t get in touch with the hotel.

I uncovered that the Radisson customer service is in the Philippines. I wrote corporate, called Radisson customer care and still no refund. I’ve also attempted to speak with the GM of the Oakland Radisson to no avail. This is an outrage that they’d keep our money of $125.65!

From the narrative you posted.  You step up to the check-in desk, and before you even say Hi, they say they aren't going to honor your reservation and told you to get out.  Somehow I think you are leaving out some details.

I would bet that the full story is very telling and your issue revolves around you not abiding by the terms of the reservation.

How was this reservation "Pre-Paid"?

Did you check-in on the day the reservation was for?

Did you meet the Check-In requirements such as Minimum Age, and not having more people than allowed in the room?

Did you have a valid Government Issued ID that matched the name of the reservation?

Did the person who's name was on the reservation have a valid Credit Card for the deposit?
