I have been shopping at Ralphs Markets for at least 30 years.

I recently looked at my receipt carefully & noticed their "Rewards" program which indicates that every time I shop at Ralphs, I earn points.  My receipt says, "Earn $5.00 for the first 500 points and another $1.00 for each 100 points."  I asked the cashier if the money is subtracted from each total when I shop (which is how I thought it worked.)  She said, "No, every three months, my points add up & I will get a check in the mail for the total points for each cycle, which is three months."  I told the cashier I have never received any checks from Ralphs & I have been shopping there for many years.

She gave me a phone number to call (800-660-9003) which is "Kroger's" number (probably who owns Ralphs markets).  A customer service representative did some checking & said, "The reason you haven't been getting your checks is because someone else who shops at Ralphs also lives at that address and they are getting the checks."

I said, "OK....fine....they're getting their checks; I'm calling because I'm not getting my checks....what does someone else living in a different house at the same address have to do with me not getting my checks?"

She said, "We can only send one check to each address, so you'll have to split the checks with the other person."

"I said, "That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard...I have a Ralphs Reward Card & someone else at my address also has a Ralphs Reward Card, and both cards have different numbers on them and different names, like credit cards do, but you can only send one check for points earned to ONE of us because you can't send more than one check to the same address?"

She said, "That's correct, we can only send one check to each address."

I said, "I guess I'll have to shop somewhere else."

She replied, "Well, we don't want you to do that."

I said, "You've been ripping me off for years & you want me to continue shopping there when there are grocery stores that have much lower prices that you?"

I e-mailed Kroger about this issue two days ago.  So far, no response.  I also wrote to them.

Read their rule book. It says "one per household".
You're complaining because you can't double dip on a free program? You must've voted for Obama.
