Razoreye Media Group ,razoreye.com/, Web Detective website, owned and operated by Razoreye Media Group, complete rip-off, charges for magazine that they "state" you signed up for and then will not refund Calgary, Alberta, Canada Internet

I found this website when I was doing a search for an obituary. I was trying to find the person's date of birth. The website charged me a small fee and then provided no inormation. The website states that if you do not cancel your membership, you will then be charged additional fees. Immediately after being ripped off by this site, I cancelled my membership and realized I had learned a good lesson about trusting unknown websites.

Thinking this was all behind me, almost 30 days later, I recevied an e-mail from razoreye.com thanking me for my online purchase for $38.83. Not knowing what in the heck this was, I e-mailed them back, asking for an explanation. They responded with an e-mail that stated that when I signed up for Web Detective, I had "checked" a box asking for a subscription to their magazine, "The Privacy Chest." Furthermore, the e-mail stated that when the magazine was mailed to me it had explicit instructions on how to cancel the subscription. I did not even give the magazine a second glance, thinking it was junk mail, threw it in the trash.

This morning I called the number provided in the 2nd e-mail and was told that yes, they would cancel my subscription, but NO, they could not give me a refund. I told the rep that I had never ordered this magazine but she would not budge. I then told her that I was not sure what I could do about this, but I would try my hardest to report them. That is when I found this website. Thank you for letting me vent and hopefully save others the same experience.
