Mailed Adaptec offer #07-63660 for $30 on 01/30/07. I mailed & copied all required receipts, UPC codes, etc. I finally called to see what is going on with my rebate and they tell that the rebate period is over now and nothing can be done now. I would not have bought the USB card if not for the rebate. Everyone knows how these rebate companies work. The fewer rebates they pay out the more money they keep from the company.

After not so politely being told by their customer service that there is nothing they will do about me not receiving my rebate I filed a mail fraud complaint with the USPS, a complaint with the BBB, a Rippoff Report, and emailed Parago. Something got their attention - I received my check today. Its sad a person has to go through all of this to get a company to live up to their obligations. Lucky for me I make copies of everything. Don't give up go after these companies!!

Rebateshq Parago I have Filed Mail Fraud Complaint & BBB Complaint

After reading how many ripoffs & complaints this company has there is no way this just accidental or an isolated incident. Read the fine print on their rebate forms:
"Warning: Fraudulent submission could result in federal prosecution under mail fraud statutes (Title 18, USC Sections 1341 & 1342).

What about their fraudulent non-payment of rebates. I suggest everyone who is being ripped off by this company file a mail fraud complaint against them with the USPS on their website since the submissions go through the mail. If a lot of people start filing these maybe the USPS Postal Inspectors will start paying attention to this company. Are they accusing the Postal service of losing 1000's of submissions??

I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau which evidently got their attention.

Now we will see if this goes anywhere. This isn't about the $30 this is about a big corporation getting away with not doing what is right and then telling me on the phone there isn't won't anything they can do about it
