I got not one, but two defective trannys from Dennis - with both installations at my expense. He also lied about some things Lonnie said, or should I say, didn't say about my car when it was at JBA Racing in San Diego.

Here's my story.

I bought a "bulletproof" tranny from him and had it installed at a speed shop in San Diego. A few weeks later, the tranny slips at WOT all the way to 6000 rpms, regularly. He initially claims that JBA must have installed it wrong, so I have him talk to JBA. JBA wasn't having any of his crap. So he sends me a new tranny, and I have it installed at my expense. He also informs me that my car was basically a piece of crap...according to Lonnie. Spark plug wires on the wrong plugs, MAF was buried in mud, etc. Yet somehow the car made the 3 hour trip to San Diego without any problems. If he knew anything about cars, he would have known better. Instead, he takes great pleasure in slandering anyone and anything that might indicate that he made a mistake.

Anyhow, I eventually asked if I could get a refund for the extra expense. He gives me the "we don't warranty high performance parts" crap. He then becomes rude and tells JBA Racing that I was posting all sorts of slander about them all over the web. I had been polite to him this entire time. The last time I spoke to him, he called me a "f***ing idiot." and, you'll love this part, "you've been talking to Geno Angelino (LMS), haven't you?" To which I replied, "no, but maybe I should."

I left out a bunch of things, but that's pretty much the meat of it.

dennis reinhart rip off?

AUTHOR: Jason - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, April 15, 2007

The after market is not an exact science and you may experience a number of problems with ANY aftermarket products you buy. my k member upr, not fitting with my long tube bassani headers etc. I had to tow my car over a thousand miles (round trip) to reinhart. I live in memphis. (2000 mustang gt with his vortec supercharger kit and sct tuner) At the time there were no tuners in the memphis area.

Reinhart not only tuned my car he took me to lunch and took me for a ride in one of his project maurader cars. The best customer service ever. Oh, and now that there is a tuner shop in memphis, I had them look at the tune and put my car on their dyno and the owner of the company said," man, that tune is perfect". I think that that says something about dennis.

I will probably never see him again, but no matter what company you use, you will always have problems with the after market always.

Mr BeverlyBeverly's car was in very poor shape it needed a complete tune up

AUTHOR: Dennis - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 22, 2005

This is in response to complaint by Mr. Beverly, he bought a Transmission from my company in late 2002, I had this transmission sent to a company in California where he was having other work done on his car, this company has a impeccable reputation, and they agreed to install his transmission, first of all before purchasing this transmission Mr. Beverly was fully aware that there is no labor warranty on a performance transmission, this is a common policy with any major transmission company that sells transmissions for race or high performance applications.

Mr. Beverly's car was in very poor shape it needed a complete tune up. They found the air cleaner filthy and after market performance parts installed that did nothing for the car. They installed the transmission and it did have a problem, I immediately contacted the company that built this transmission and had a replacement transmission sent there in three days, at no charge.

Mr. Beverly wanted my company to pay the labor charge I explained our policy and that he was fully aware of this prior to its purchase. Again this was in 2002 or early 2003.

Mr. Beverly then tried to slander the company that installed the transmission. They were notified, here is the email that was sent.

I want to offer a conditional apology for my message posting a month ago. The condition is that you did not and are not lying to me about the situation regarding my car. The reason I say this is because today I had a conversation with Dennis Reinhart and he is continuing to insist that someone from there gave him the erroneous information about my car, which

This indicates one of you is being very dishonest. At this point, I'm not

Dennis,

I think it is ridiculous to post a vendor review of something that happened two years ago, especially since it seems that first he was happy with the purchase and work. There must be some other motive for him to post this so long after the fact.

I will cc this to head moderator so he can delete the review.

Here is the letter Mr.> Beverly sent praising all the work that was done on the car.

Subject: Lincoln performance

I wanted to thank you guys for the good job you did with my Lincoln Mark VIII. I've gone about 300 miles in it since you worked on it and it
runs very well. I'm still getting used to the aggressive shifting an torque converter, but the performance is worth the cost in "comfort". There is one thing that concerns me that I wanted to ask you about. Is it normal
for that tranny setup to have a slight vibration under slight acceleration from a stop? The vibration occurs at about 1500 rpms and probably would not be noticeable by anyone other than myself. I'm guessing that since the
torque converter and/or clutch pack is quite aggressive that it will vibrate
when not fully engaged(?) Other than that, that setup really brings out the beast in that engine. I floored it from a dead stop and it ran up to 6500 rpms while the rear tires took turns burning out. The tires gelled and I
only got up to about 30 mph - I actually had to let off. I can see an
Auburn posi in the near future. This morning I pulled away from a Camaro on my way to work.

I was also going to ask you about a supercharger for my car when I was there, but I forgot. Ron said he would investigate whether there was a CARB certified blower for my car but never got back to me. I know Vortech makes
a nice one (+150 hp boost) for my engine, but it's only certified for the 96-97 Mark VIII's. Can you look into this for me? If you can find one,

I'll pay you guys to install it - when finances allow of course. Thanks.

Now I can go on with three other letters concerning this matter, its not going to change a thing, Mr. Beverly had a problem. I fixed it, he was upset because I refused to pay for labor of removal of his transmission, he was fully aware of this at his time of purchase.

He no longer owns this car it was totaled last year, he attempted to get a copy of my invoice from the company that built this transmission, with out my approval and they refused he wanted this to escalate a claim on his insurance, if he had handled this in a professional manner I would have gave him a duplicate, he never called me.

I have been in business for over twenty years. I have a good record with the BBB of Jacksonville any one can check that.

a nice one (+150 hp boost) for my engine, but it's only certified for the 96-97 Mark VIII's.
