REM Sleep Solutions makes and services electrically adjusting beds. When one of these beds breaks, if it is still under warranty, REM contracts with local handymen to do the repair. Back in October 2009, REM contacted me for one of these repair jobs. They sent the replacement parts directly to the customer, and gave me the customer information. I promptly contacted the customer, and did the repair. There were no issues. The repair went fine, the bed was working perfectly, the customer was completely satisfied. Per instructions, I sent the old parts back to the company, and I have delivery confirmation of this. For clarification, the parts were sent to Reverie Service Center, which handles the warranty parts for REM and Tempurpedic. I have repaired several beds for Tempurpedic, and although they paid somewhat late both times, they did pay. Per signed contract, REM was to pay within 30 days. After 45 days, I called them. They did not reply. I contacted the Reverie/Tempurpedic service center. They confirmed the return of the parts, but said that they were only the parts center, and that I needed to contact REM about the payment. I started calling REM and leaving (polite) messages regularly. In December, I got my first and only reply from the company. I talked with Ginny. She confirmed that they owed me the money, said that she didn't know what had happened, and that she would find out and call me the following day. I never got another call. I have since left several messages (they apparently never actually ANSWER the phone) and I have contacted them by fax. They still refuse to respond.
I have been in this business for many years, and have worked for more companies than I can count. I understand that paperwork can get lost, people make mistakes, etc. It happens. So sometimes it can take some time, phone calls, patience, to get paid. But when a company that is way overdue refuses to even return a phone call, they are either unable or unwilling to pay the bill. Some companies just don't pay as a matter of policy, figuring (probably correctly) that most people won't bother suing them for $150. I don't know. But this is my experience with this company. It has now been three months since I did the service, and they still won't return phone calls.

Very positive experience with REM Sleep Solutions

I've had the complete opposite experience. I have a service and repair company and have worked with REM Sleep Solutions for a long time and they've always been friendly to my guys on the road and pay me on time. I've had questions and they call back.

The $150 late payment may have happened, but people read these reports and can think one bad opinion means it's a bad company, which isn't true based on my experience.

All I can say is that REM has been a great company to work with. If my guys and the customers they help are happy, and I get my money on time, then I'm happy.

I never usually write on these things but people should hear the good side that gets drowned out by a couple of opinions. That's it so thanks.

On 5-4-2010 I recieved a phone call from Randy Maddix from REM Sleep Solutions. On 5-6-2010 he mailed payment for this invoice. This bill is now paid in full.
