Restoration Hardware Restoration Hardware Running Misleading Super Shady Online Promotions Internet

I am someone that has bought from Restoration Hardware for years both online and in the store.  I am in market to buy a new sectional and noticed last week the Restoration was running on Online Promo where  they gave you $100 off every $500 you spend sounds great right? Wrong!  A friend tipped me off literally while i had Credit Card in hand that Restoration Jacks up the prices during a promo period like this to make you think you are getting a big discount then brings the prices back down after the promo is over.  So that night i called customer service at RH and asked specifically if this is what they are doing.  The nice rep indicated no but that prices are "always subject to change"  It was shady enough to make me not buy the couch.  Yesterday was the last day of the $100 off every $500 promo so I went online and sure enough ALL of the prices on RH are back down to the "sale" price.  If i had purchsed that couch under the promo I actually would have spent $100 MORE on the couch than i would today at the "sale" price.

These types of business practices for such a highend business are dispicable and I wonder how many hundreds if not thousands of customers fell for it only to realize they purchased something at at a price that is equal to if not more than the price they could buy if for today.  I really liken this type of practice to that of a shady used car dealer.  Anyway, they have lost a loyal customer in me...i will never do business with RH again even though i love thier product I cannot do business with a company that operates this way.  Be careful of any Online RH promotion...its probably smoke and mirrors.
