This homebuilder has more complaints than any other on this site. I bought my home a year ago and have had the same problems as far as the repair people taking weeks to come out and Richard Fuller failing to pay contractors.

The faucet in my guest bathroom shower shot off,yes....shot off, while my son was taking a shower (luckily he was not injured) and by the time I ran outside to turn off the main water pipe, water had gone into both bedrooms on each side of the bathroom and the carpet had to be replaced.

Well, it was. Then, about 2 months later I received a call from the carpet company telling me they had not been paid for their services and that it was MY RESPONSIBILITY to take care of the payment!

Of course, this wasn't true and they just wanted their money. They said they had been trying to contact the office but no one ever returned their calls...so they decided to call me.

Needless to say, I contacted the sales office and they had their rediculous story of how it "fell through the cracks", etc...

Also, I agree with the person warning others not to move in until everything - I mean EVERYTHING is complete.... There were several things not finished when I moved in, and it took months before they finished everything!

#5 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Eventually FHA and VA will not do loans for them!

AUTHOR: Scott - ()

POSTED: Monday, February 18, 2002

I have heard from some lenders and Cindy S. in Oaklahoma that soon Richard Fuller Homes will not be able to have FHA and VA loans from customers on their homes because of bad construction, no warranty service, and their mulititude of problems.

Rebuttal:
Fuller not paying his subs is story I've heard more than a few times. We also have a Fuller home. I would like anyone with a problem with this builder to contact me at cschnackel@fourteen.net I encourage anyone with a complaint against Fuller to file it with as many gov't and consumer
agencies as are available to them in their case, particularly if the defects are serious, the warranty is not being honored, or if there are liens on your house from Fuller not paying his sub contractors. These agencies take into account the number of complaints more than anything.

Examples: state attorney general, Better Business Bureau--a joke, but file anyway, HUD or VA if applicable, etc. Also file a complaint online at Homeowners Against Deficient Dwellings, www.hadd.com
