I went to work for Ride Medical in April of this year. After driving for 5 weeks, I decided to stop and see if I would be paid. They promise a lot of money in their hiring process but you will never see any of it. I put over 2000 miles on my car during those 5 weeks and here I sit 4 months later and have not seen one penny. I have called numerous times and get the same answers that Ride Medical hasn't been paid. During my 5 weeks, I did some private injury transports which were supposed to be paid as a flat fee. I haven't seen any of that money either. I have asked to see their billing but Geraldine said the the information is not available. They owe me about $5000.00 dollars according to my ride slips. If they are hiring people, knowing that they aren't going to pay them, that is fraud. I would be willing to talk to an attorney to help me get this matter resolved. Don't drive for this company. Thank you for reading this report!

Appointment With Labor Standards Enforcement

AUTHOR: Anon - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, December 25, 2013

I am the original author of the report above and I wish to update everyone. I have an appointment with the California Labor Standards Enforcement on February 4, 2014. I am going to request a ruling as to the fact if I am an employee or independent contractor. If I am ruled an independent contractor, the meeting will be short as they have no jurisdiction over my case. If I am an employee, they will go after Ride Medical and Ross Barr for wages due. Wish me luck.

Fight Back - Don't Let Them Get Away With Cheating You !

AUTHOR: We Got Took - ()

POSTED: Sunday, November 17, 2013

Here is what you can do to fight back:

#1.  File a claim with the California Department of Labor Standards for unpaid wages:

 dir.ca.gov/dlse/dlseWagesAndHours.html

#2.  You were not an "Independent Contractor."  You were an employee.  The IC claim is a lie.  File a tax fraud report with the California Employment Development Department.  There's a hotline but filing the on-line form is best:

askedd.edd.ca.gov/frmFraudStart.htm

#3.  If you suspect Workers Compensation Insurance fraud, let the authorities know!

insurance.ca.gov/0300-fraud/0100-fraud-division-overview/0500-fraud-division-programs/workers-comp-fraud/

 Good luck!
