I had my surgery done in Dec 2005.  I have a beautiful daughter getting ready to enter into K4 this year.  I have seen that several times you stated to ask the Dr.s for pictures of the surgery, tubes corrected.  Its always been allowed for the patients to take pictures and even video.  For you to claim they did not do their job is ridiculious!  They even let you bring an adult in to watch the surgery.  How on earth do you claim they are doing something underhanded when they are soooooo much more transparent than here in the United States?  We all know going into the surgery that there are NO guarentees.  Post op recovery depends greatly on how well you follow the orders, and between that, the sucess of the surgery, your age, Gods will all these things combinded will give you the outcome.  Sometimes what you'd hoped and prayed for and sometimes not.  I am saddened that you were not blessed with a child but shame on you for putting a stumbling block in the way for those who are searching and desire the opportunity for another chance.  RBR makes it affordable for many families who would otherwise never be able to afford the surgery, but not only that their professionalism and concern for their patients is hands down much more felt than here in the United States.  There is a forum associated with Dr. Perez where you will find testimony after testimony of sucessful surgeries and hundreds of miricle babies born.  Its a wonderful place to ask the patients directly of their experience and the results of their visit to Mexico.  God certainly blessed my decison and lead me straight to RBR and Dr. Perez!

The reason that often times women who post these reports are viewed with skepticism is because of the information relayed in the report. When someone like Rio Bravo has acquired as much customer satisfaction and positive feedback as they have, the burden of proof is often times on the complainer to make us believe that their report is true.

Here is why this report is a little hard to believe.

1.) The filer of the complaint thinks the motive was to rip her off because she couldn't afford to have her tubes re-evaluated. With a success rate close to 40%, why would these doctors purposely mess up on a patient because they assumed she wouldn't have the money to check up on it. Why not simply put her under anesthesia and then NOT do the surgery? What is their motive to mess this girl (and their own success rate) up?

2.) How does this woman know that her tubes were not attached? How does she know what is sticking out of her uterus? How does she know that she should have had pictures given to her? Unless she is a doctor, it is HIGHLY likely that she has been told all these things by another doctor. Another doctor who has recommended that she have another reversal - because THIS time it will be different because HE is doing it.

All of the doctor's I went to told me why THEY were better than the others. It is their job to do that! If you believed that the docs in Rio Bravo did everything right, then why would you pay to have another procedure? It is in getting you to believe that Rio Bravo is a chop-shop that other doctors - many of whom have FAR worse published success rates - can convince patients to undergo 2 or even 3 additional surgeries. These doctors PREY on women's vulnerability and desperation to have a child. There is no money in them telling a woman that if she's had a tubal reversal by a reputable doctor then she may need to consider other options like IVF, surrogate or adoption. 

There are VERY few bad reports out on the internet about Drs. Perez and Levi. They have an almost rabid following of people who have children now because of them - people who HAVE gone to other doctors and failed but who went to Rio Bravo and now have children. I have 2 children because of Drs. Perez & Levi. I didn't have a lot of money - that's why I went to Rio Bravo. And they told me the truth - that I only had 1 tube and that it wasn't very lengthy and that my chances were only about 25%. But it worked out!

If I had heard even ONE report that said "I went to Rio Bravo, it didn't work. I went to another doctor, it DID work." Then I would believe it. Unfortunately, I think a lot of people are very bitter about the fact that they paid money they didn't have and got no success. It happens. But that doesn't mean that it is fair to try and smear the reputation of good, successful doctors because of it.

Hum.....I find it awfully interesting that if any patient of Dr. Perez has had a bad experience, all of a sudden that person is judged as a liar. Who are you to judge of a patients experience? Have you personally walked in this person's shoes?

I'm sure if anyone searched hard enough they could find YOUR FAULTS too.

You have to remember that Becky is upset, and when people are upset, they do things they would not normally do. I don't blame her. Think about it. She spent a lot of money and heartache only to walk away empty handed. And while she knew of the risks beforehand (we all did), no one ever expects it would happen to them. Can you honestly say that you yourself would not be hurt and devastated?

OF COURSE Dr. Perez will have patients that had good experiences. And I am personally happy for you that you never had to go through what Becky did, because I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

I know the original poster from the message board she joined in 2006 after her surgery.  We had our surgeries the same year.  She is filled with lies and confliction and is just down right bitter.  We knew going into our surgery that there is a chance that we would never have another baby, it is a risk that we took.  She has posted many many stories between a few different websites, all conflicting with each other.  Four years later she comes up with this story...its balony

I have used the same provider and know many many ladies who have nothing but great things to say about Rio Bravo Reversals.  It took me 16 months to conceive, but we never go into this expecting that it will really happen immediately.

It is a shame that she is here bashing RBR when she was so happy to report or lie when she conceived so many times.  Becky you should be ashamed of yourself
