Please do NOT go to Ritz Furniture Gallery in Lynnwood WA. We bought 2 chairs there totalling about $1600.00. We put one on lay-a-away that was $1099.00. The store manager told us that it would be in the back waiting for us to pick it up at the end of February. When we went to pick up our chair on 02/28/09, they had sold our chair and wanted to give us a floor model that had a tear on the back. The tear could not be seen and we were told that it would not rip any further. The store manager stated that the torn chair is a new chair and they just brought it out to floor 2 days ago after our chair had been sold.
Now, if you paid $1099 for a chair wouldn't you expect it to be perfect? I told her that during my first marriage we had the same thing happen and due to the chair being a recliner/rocker, there was stress and it did rip. So either give us another or refund our money. They refused to give us our money back. We drove 1 hour one way to pick it up, so now we wanted them to deliver it and they said they would. They never did say why they would not give us a refund. We called the cops. Of course the cops could not do anything, but the police officer did hear her say that she would get us a replacement chair, from the warehouse in Kent, WA. My husband was told that he would receive a call from her (the store manager) on Monday morning with a delivery of our chair.
We feel that we have been treated unfairly and the store should have issued us a refund. Now, we are not sure if we are going to get our chair or not.
**** Please do not go to Ritz Furniture Gallery...The manager is a liar and the store is a ripoff *****

Today, 03/05/09...We did get our leather chair free of any damage. We also found out today that the store manager, Cathy, IS the store owner. So when we were told the store owner was out of the country, it was a LIE!
Do not shop at this store...They are untrustworthy...
