I just pulled up my credit report and noticed that as of March 1, 2008 I have a collection action reported by RJM ACQ LLC for $179.00. Supposedly this was from a past due book club membership of which I never belonged to. When I googled the company on the internet to try and research further the only results I received were results related to other people who also have had fraudulent collections reported to credit agencies. I did not find any website for the company to research further. This is obviously an absolute rip off and I am very concerned about this remaining on my credit report. If anyone knows how to effectively deal with this issue please let me know.
