Robinhood Charged $8.35 to close a dead account MountainView California

Had an account with Robinhood that I wasn't able to close. The controls on the website are very layered and hidden. It's not user freindly. You cannot close the account on your own. You must first wade through multiple prompts on the site at their "help section" prior to submiting a ticket. It sat there in internet space without any activity on it since November 2017. It had a positive balance at .64 cents, until recently when it was at -$8.35. When I inquired about closing it I was told to pay the minus balance to bring the account to zero so it could be closed. The phone number is 650-940-2700. You will hear a lengthy recorded message thst redirects you back to their website robinhood.com. Worse than any physical bank I've done business with I highly recommend (((REDACTED))) instead. You can speak with a live person and they will happily explain anything about how investing works.
