My vehicle was parked in a gated community in Houston where i am renting an apartment. There are no "No Parking" signs other than only residents are allowed to park. I got up Monday morning and my vehicle was gone.

I couldn't find who towed it but after calls to a few places given to me by the apartment manager, I located my vehicle at Ronda Lane. I had to take a cab to get it. He demanded that i present the title to the vehicle or an insurance card. Those items were in the car that he wouldn't let me get to!

i pulled up a copy of my insurance card online and showed him. he said the tow was $225!!! i felt extorted but had to get my vehicle out. I am disputing the charge through my credit card company.

Evidently, this towing company has spotters that look for vehicles to tow.

Oh...that makes more sense then. You are no more than a rambling fool who has nothing better to do than put your nose in other peoples business and then hide behind email, social media or blogs. Since you know nothing about the law and even less about this scam by this towing company you have no credibility whatsoever in this matter. Your continued ignorance of this situation and your insistence on defining legal terms you have no knowledge of just makes you look dumber and dumber. Do everyone a favor here and follow the rule of ignorance "it's better to be quiet and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt." Because you have removed all doubt here. Quit while you are behind and let the business respond like they are supposed to. Now, go ahead and respond with something equally as dumb emphasizing your point with all caps to make it look like you are yelling or angry. That only emphasizes more your lack of maturity and education. Go bother someone else.

Per usual...

Per usual when someone doesn't buy YOUR story they MUST automatically work for the people YOU are whining about. Sorry but YOUR leaps in logic aren't covering much ground. NOPE!! Don't know them or work for them. MY point is and was that YOU don't know WHAT the situation is/was at the time of the tow. IF your sticker was visable then there was some other issue. Evidently YOU CAN THINK. So whats stopping YOU from using that brain to figure out WHY your were towed. All YOU are doing by disputing a VALID CHARGE is showing YOUR card company that YOU are a SCAMMER!!!! Just because YOU don't agree that the vehicle was to be towed, doesn't mean that THEY were wrong to do so. YOUR IGNORANCE DOES NOT MAKE YOU RIGHT!!!! You were towed!!! If YOU were towed then YOUR vehicle WAS NOT supposed to be there. As MOST tow companies WONT tow without the property managers permission, it would seem that YOU need to address this with the property manager. The towing company is ONLY doing as THEY have been instructed by SOMEONE ON THE PROPERTY!!!!! I swear its like stup!d is following YOU around like a lost puppy!!! YOU are whining about the tow yet COMPLETLY dismissing ANY part you played in the situation. I know the truth hurts but come on!! What are YOU not admitting that would cause this entire situation to make sense?? THEY didn't enney, meaney you. They didn't hold a lottery and just CHOOSE to tow the car that pops up!! YOU did something that caused this.

I'll try my best to ignore your juvenile rhetoric and stick to the issue.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Your supersillious statements about me make no sense at all. But, to answer what i could filter out as legitimate questions from your incessant rambling...YES, there was a sticker clearly marked...YES I was parked in a legal space to park in...NO, there weren't any signs posted...NO, there were no warnings given.

Whomever you are, because you clearly don't want people to know, whether it's the owner, manager, relative of one of those or the person that actually did the towing that clearly is ignoring any ethical responsibility they have to their job...you should practice what you are preaching and take responsibility for this. Anyone can make a mistake and it's clear you or this company made one. And from the research on your company that's out there, this isn't the first time.

Put aside your egotistical rambling and do what's right here. Stop towing people that are parked legally. Stop looking for what appears to be an easy dollar just because you aren't hitting quota this month.

Do the right thing and take responsibility for this...this vehicle was towed illegally, period. If my disputing my credit card bill represents the kind of person i am, then i'm fine with it...just as your unethical activity displays the type of person you appear to be.

I will say everyone has a smartphone nowadays...keep the cameras on and rolling. Eventually, if this continues, it will get captured and you won't be able to whine about how "irresponsible" the people you are victimizing are.

Was??

AUTHOR: Tyg - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, September 19, 2015

Was YOUR resident parking sticker/permit CLEARLY visable??NOT was in YOUR car, but could it be CLEARLY seen from outside the vehicle. If NOT then YOU only have YOURSELF to blame. Sorry but the sign that states ONLY residents can park there IS a form of NO PARKING!!!! NO PARKING UNLESS YOU ARE A RESIDENT!!! Kinda simple connection to make. Maybe a bit of a stretch for those that DONT use COMMON SENSE. Face REALITY!! Obviously YOUR VEHICLE was parked someplace it SHOULD NOT have been by definition of the paperwork YOU AGREED to when YOU signed that rental agreement. Tow companies DO NOT want to spend the resources for a "spotter". In fact, THEY don't have to do ANYTHING except know what to look for per each place they go. People are SO self entitled that little things like making sure your parking permit is visable are dismissed as NOT IMPORTANT, so ofcourse someone like YOU is going to SAY they were towed illegaly. But the REALITY is SOMETHING was WRONG!!!!! Did YOU park in someone elses parking spot?? Just because it doesn't have THIER name on it doesn't mean that THEY don't have a sense of "ownership". If YOU had parked in MY spot and inconvienced ME then IM going to make sure YOU are equally inconvienced. Its ALWAY something SMALL and STUPID that causes these issues to pop up. See tow companies ARE regulated. And IF they do a tow that IS illegal then THEY can face fines, fees, and lawsuits. So tow companies always make sure to cover THIER butts. If YOUR vehicle was towed then someone called on YOUR vehicle and due to something NOT adding up, YOUR vehicle was towed. NOT some great conspiracy against YOU, THAT is just YOUR ego issues if you think that. NOT some "spotter" going in and tagging vehicles, although NOT a uncommon practice in some larger metro areas. Its frowned upon by MOST of the towing regulatory boards. But that YOUR vehicle LOOKED like it did NOT belong there. So it gets towed. So YES to YOU it SEEMS to be a bad tow, but YOU are IGNORANT of the situation at the time and ignorant of the laws involved. Face the reality and find out WHAT made them tow YOUR vehicle. If they chose NOT to give YOU that information, THEN take them to small claims court and see if they get a fine from their regulatory board. Disputing it with your credit card company is ONLY going to show what type of person YOU are. YOU got towed and had to pay for it, but YOU don't think YOU should have to pay for it, so YOU are going to backdoor a refund and PUNISH them for towing YOUR vehicle. STOP ACTING LIKE A CHILD!!! Be a RESPONSIBLE Adult and handle this as YOU SHOULD, NOT as YOU WANT.
