I signed on to roommates.com to rent out a spare room, I had already been contacted by some scam artists from **********.com.
I filled out the profile and when I recieved responses it made you pay for a 5.99 3 day trail, well I payed it. I entered my card # and was told that it declined, thinking this was odd I contacted my bank, they informed me that it was not truly declined and that roommates.com had charged my card 4 times!! I have written to them over and over and they will not respond!

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with roommates.com. I used to work there for a while, and I can tell you they are very honest and would never charge your card multiple times (I don't think it could even be possible as they use automated merchant software). Your reports is a few years old so I assume it's already been resolved, but if not, if you email support@roommates.com I'm sure they'd be able to resolve the situation quickly.
