I bought an entire bedroom set from Rooms To Go during the Memorial Day weekend and had it delivered on 6/8/2010.  From appearance the furniture appeared to be of good quality, but felt unusually light.

On 9/20/2010, I propped two pillows in front of the headboard, sat down and leaned back to watch television.  I immediately heard a loud noise and discovered the head board (the post that ties into the side rails) had cracked.  It didn't break completely, but the crack is significant enough that any pressure against it will surely cause it to break.

I called Rooms To Go and a technician came out to look at the furniture.  The technician wanted to know why the headboard wasn't completely butted up against the wall.  I explained to him that doing so would cause damage to the furniture and to the paint on the wall. He seemed to agree at that point and stated that leaning back against the headboard in a sitting position should not have caused the furniture to crack/break, and also stated that the area in which the crack occurred was a "weak point."

I received a call from Rooms To Go on 9/29/2010 and was advised that it was reported to them by the technician that the damage was caused by "the consumer" and that I would have to pay for repairs or replacement of the furniture.  So much for the one year warranty, and so much for Rooms To Go standing behind the quality of furniture they sell to hard working people such as myself.  I will never spend another dime at that store, and will certainly encourage people not to shop there for fear that they, too, may have such a negative experience as mine.
