I bought a property from Rose acceptance at (((REDACTED))) milwaukee wisconsin.  I paid cash upfront

at closing they rushed me to close stating it had to close by the 31st of November.  In December I

flew there to do rehab work on the house.  I put a lot of money into this property.  On January 3 approximately

the city inspector came to my house and told me they owned this property that it was foreclosed on because

Rose Acceptance did not pay any taxes.  I was livid I was sure they were wrong so I called up Rose Acceptance

and they stated that it could not be foreclosed on.  I live in California I had to fly back to Milwaukee

to a City Foreclosure Hearing and there I learned that the house I bought was mine only 3 weeks the

city foreclosed on it in December.  Rose Acceptance has been notified and has done nothing to compensate

me for my loss of the money I put in it or the Return of the purchase price.  Please, Please stay away

from these modern day crooks.

Doesn't make sense

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 22, 2017

The average home buyer does not pay cash for a house. The average home buyer does not buy a house a few thousand miles away from where they are living. The average home buyer does not do things on their own, they have an agent and/or attorney who will advise them.

So either we are to believe that you are some "newbie" first time home buyer who decided to make their first purchase on their own in cash a few thousand miles from where they live without any professional help, OR you are not exactly being totally forthcoming in your purpose and experience where a lot of detail is missing.

This is important because if you have bought/sold houses before(perhaps you are a "flipper"), you know one of the first thing to check on especially with REO homes is to do a property tax/lien search. Had you done this little bit of due diligence you would not be in this situation now.

So now it comes down to the house. If you bought it "As-Is" just like the meaning says you bought the house and are accepting all of it's liabilities and issues...this can and would most likely include back Property Taxes. Your only "out" in this would be is if you have something in writing from them that states the taxes were up to date.

Being "rushed" through closing is not an excuse and even more reason that if you thought you were being rushed and didn't understand everything YOU needed representation.

By the way can you please tell us what day of the week November 31st fell on last year?
