RPM contacted my wife about an unpaid bill with MCI Worldcom. They said they were representing MCI Worldcom which if I'm correct no longer exists. They called her over 2 years ago and we requested copies of the bills so we could match up cancelled checks with them. We did'nt hear from them until about 2 weeks ago claiming the same thing. This time they sent us a bill but no documentation on what wasn't paid. We called them and they said we need to send in a letter to get this information. It seems to me to be a scam and need advice on how to handle this matter. I have all my cancelled checks and recall MCI wasn't the best when it can to billing. thanks

Growup needs to grow up!

Look you moronic bottom feeding zero, MOST of the collection agencies you speak so proudly of are pathetic, fraudulent, lowlife snakepits. You purchase OLD debts that don't even belong to individuals you pester. You purchase debts that are BEYOND the statute of limitations. You purchase debts that have already been written off and debts that don't even exist. Don't even come here with that BS, you moron. Grow up and get a life, bottom feeder.

For the Soccerdad, it is only good practice to send these rotten scum a letter and ask them to validate the debt. More than likely these losers are in a phishing expedition. Do not ever talk to these losers over the phone under any circumstances. You can never gain anything by doing this without unmitigated proof. You want all documentation done in writing unless you have a recorder and even then, in most states you need to inform the other party you are recording the conversation.

Typical uneducated drivel from a bottomfeeder! "Mr. Grow up"

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 17, 2008

This is the typical uneducated drivel you can expect from a bottomfeeder, or ex-bottomfeeder employee in this case.

"Just pay your bill" is the common attitude of these freaks. Although the original poster stated that he did not think he owed the bill, AND, twice requested validation and got nothing.

So let me translate. Just pay your bill so I dont have to do any work, and still get paid. I don't have time to prove you owe the debt, so just pay me anyway so I can go buy some more crack.

Very few collection agencies will ever send validation. This works in your favor as the debtor, but you have to assert your own rights under the FDCPA, because these lowlife wil not take it upon themselves to follow the law.

Once a "debtor" requests validation and disputes an alleged debt, the collection agency MUST cease all collections activity until such validation is provided, which includes negative credit reporting.

When they fail to follow the letter of the law, you need to sue them for those violations.

Don't get mad, GET PAID!!

People just need to pay their bill!

AUTHOR: Growup - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 16, 2008

You all have the same complaint and in reality this is your own fault. Everyone is mad at the colleciton agency when they should be mad at the creditor. A collection agency doesnt get an account unless the creditor sends it there. Ever heard the term DONT SHOOT THE MESSENGER! If you would have paid the debt they wouldnt have to call you. So what if its 3 or so years old? Doesnt mean you dont owe it. I mean come on people your coming online stating that you got calls on a bill and they were rude! Well pay your d**n bills and people dont have to call you! Ever think that maybe they dont have some of the information that youw ant? And sometimes if you call the original creditor they wont have your account because they send your whole file to the collection agency. I dont work for RPM but i use to work for a collection agency and know exactly how it works. They send the whole file to the collection agency. Pay your bill and they will leave you alone. bunch of lowlifes!
