Run Local Garage Door Overcharge Internet

On a weekday afternoon the spring on our garage door broke.  I went to the internet and called a couple of companies.  The one that I was able to get a hold of was Run Local Garage Door.  The service tech came out and told me he could replace the broken spring (actually replace both springs) right then. 

When I asked how much he said $350.  I was flabbergasted and told him so. He said that (1) he was charging a comparable rate to every other company and (2) that they were galvanized steel and were guaranteed for life.

He also said that if I didn't hire him to do the job right then, he would charge me for coming out to give an estimate and leave.  Not wanting to be out even more money, I had him do the work.

We called several local companies the next day and found out that the highest rate we would have been charged for the same springs installed (complete) was $250. 

They are deceptive.  They overcharge.  And they take advantage of women alone!
