Safeway Insurance Company ripoff rude, lying, stalling, ripping off, evil. Companies like this need to be shut down. Alpharetta Georgia

I was involved in an auto accident with a vehicle that was insured by Safeway. The person driving the car was the sister of the insured. I was stopped to make a left hand turn when I was rear ended. AS stated on the police report, the driver of the other car could not brake because a COKE CAN ROLLED UNDER HER BRAKE PEDAL! this is clearly her fault and she received 2 tickets.

For two months now Safeway has been giving me the run around, saying that they must put an investigator on the case to determine if the sister had permission to drive the car. They are now saying that the two sisters do not get along and that the sister driving the car did not have permission from the insured and that the insured did not know her sister had the car(this despite the fact that on the police report it states that they have the same address).

The adjustor does not return my calls (I call about 5 times a week and am lucky if I talk to her once), the supervisor does not return my calls. The last conversation I had with the adjuster (LAURIE KUTER) I was informed that the case was with the manager. When I asked how long this would take, she could only reply "I don't know."

I reported my case to the GA Insurance Commissioner only to be told that I cannot file a complaint because it is not my insurance company (I do not understand this).

It has now been two months, I am out $600.00 for the rental car, my car was totaled (valued at 2500.00) and I have medical bills and the doctors want their money (the doctor's office informed me that they tried several times to contact the adjuster and when they finally reached her, she was rude and told them they would have to talk with me). I don't understand how they can take so long.

Anyone who has any advice about what I should do, please respond. I don't know if I should get a lawyer or take them to small claims court or how I should settle this. I am a school teacher without money or time, trying to educate our nation's youth but instead wasting my time being stressed about an insurance company that lies, cheats and is rude to someone who was not at fault. Companies like this need to be shut down.
