Here is the e-mail I recieved after responding to a "too good to be true" rental ad on Craigslist in the rich neighborhood in Colorado. I have received tons of orbious scan emails in the past so I was really careful and didn't give "her" and of my personal info. My first name was given to her but that is not my legal name.  

When I tried to check out the verification link, I Googled the info and found this scam report page. I didn't have to waste my time anymore.

First off, I greatly appreciate you considering my property. The closets are big, the bedrooms are comfortable, and the windows are designed to let in natural light.
 
This 3 bedrooms 3.5 baths home has not had any prior pets and is currently pet friendly. It is free of smells or stains. We do not have any breed restrictions and there is no fee or deposit.
 
Should your pet cause damage to the home, you will be responsible for making all repairs.
 
To rent our property we require the following:
 
1. Valid Driver's License or Photo ID
2. Lease Agreement (month to month, 6 months, or 1 year)
3. First months rent
4. Completed background check for each applicant
 
Background checks can be done online using Rental Verified: link.
 
If you have a criminal record or a few mistakes on your rental history, no worries, I'll help you out.
 
There are many more reasons to visit the home. It is well kept and the kitchen will make you feel right at home. Includes a washer and dryer as well as being located in a friendly community.
 
I'll bring the rental agreement with me to the showing. I also ask for background checks to be completed by all my applicants.
 
Once you've completed your background check and are ready to setup a tour, contact me. It should be in a .pdf file and you can print it and bring to the showing or email it to me.

I'll be available tomorrow, Tuesday, and my availability changes daily. Can you think of a time that might work the best for you}?
