*General Comment: Recall is a recall
*Consumer Comment: You are out of luck
Hello, I bought 2 Samsung galaxy note 7 on Swappa.com. (was recalled) I have the original receipt for one which I have tried to exchange with Samsung (Called 4 times) and they wont exchange it. They told me to take receipt to a Verizon store and if they refuse to exchange it to call them back to reach for a resolution. Called today and said theres nothing you can do. I cant use the phone battery will explode, cant sell it, Is there any possibility to do something about this case? I paid with Paypal. Thank you!

Recall is a recall

That doesn’t seem right, as far as a third party company selling a device rendering a safety recall as null. A recall is a recall, and when consumer’s safety is on the line, a manufacturer would naturally want all items which fall under a recall to be taken care of in the best way.
Mainly to avoid injury, as well as a lawsuit which could follow in the case an injury were to occur. This message is to the originator of the complaint. I believe you must have gotten ahold of someone who was lazy or something when you were told there was nothing that could be done.
You said that the first time you contacted Samsung, you were given an impression that things would be taken care of, which seems more likely to be true. I think you should call Samsung back, and if need be, keep contacting them until things are done right. Also, rather than a phone call, in the case those get you nowhere, I suggest using email so as to have proof of what you’ve reported to them.
Another thing, since you paid using PayPal, filing a dispute thru them may be of some assistance to you, due to the fact that they will make contacts for you in certain cases (mainly with issues you’ve already tried to resolve yourself but wasn’t able to).
Go to "Resolution Center”, which, I’m not certain, but may have to be accessed via the website rather than the app.

You bought these phones from a third party seller therefore your provider has no liability. You are out of luck.
