Santa Barbara Bank & Trust SBBT More TAX RipOffs Santa Barbara California

After efiling my taxes with TURBO TAX I was informed that SSBT was going to be accepting the money from the IRS so that TURBO TAX could get their 34.00.

I recieved a date of Febuary 18th as the day my return would be deposited into my account from SSBT and a Date of the 22nd from the IRS.

On the 17th of Febuary I checked the status on SSBT and it said that the IRS hadn't deposited the return so I was going to have to wait until the 25th to "Check Again". "The IRS did not deposit to your account as expected" Direct quote from SSBT's website on the day BEFORE expected refund.

I also checked the IRS website for the return and there I was informed that the deposit WAS "Your tax refund is scheduled to be direct deposited on February 18, 2005." Direct Quote from the IRS website. (This was there the 17th and also today the 18th).

I do not know how many other people Santa Barbara Bank And Trust is doing this to, but I am sure it makes them a "few bucks" on the intrest gained.

Someone needs to put a stop to this.

I just checked your site and it says that the irs "didn't deposit the money as expected".
How can you know this 1 day in advance?
According to the IRS website it is scheduled for the 18th. Funny how this looks don't you think?

Their Response:
The IRS notifies us on Wednedays, if your refund will be available on Friday. We will deposit the refund to your account at that time.
Please log on to www.sbbtral.com at that time to check on the details of your deposit.

The IRS has told me that my deposit is going be the 18th (TODAY) but yet Still nothing from SSBT....
