Back in July of '09' my husband leased a '2005' Kenworth from Schneider Finance... he had to get rid of his 2000 Peterbilt, Schneider would not allow because of age of truck. When he got this Kenworth from Schneider Finance they said that this truck was completely inspected and all maintenance repairs were done.
Not even a month in.. this tractor had to have a front end replacement done, did I mention that this tractor had about 400,000 mls. on it. Schneider did pay for it, truck was under 3 mos. warranty. But... few weeks later it was problem after problem with this tractor. AND NO WARRANTY fix-ups coming out of our pockets.
We are going into dept fast, S.F. doesn't help the situation the money we pay for the truck as well as the maintenance fees leaves us with absolutely no pay check.
My husband is on the road for 5-6 weeks at a time and may be home for 3-4 days. We asked if they would put him in another truck showing them records of all the fix repairs on the truck. No they won't do that. Can you believe that 95% of the time we do not receive a paycheck it goes for truck payments and maintenance fees of truck.
My husband has spoken with other I.C. drivers and they went through Schneider finance and have the same issues. We need to start a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT with Schneider Finance. If anyone else is having the same problems with S.F. please contact me through this site and we can stop this ripping off the hard working truck drivers.
Already we're into the thousands for repairs on this truck. Shops that we have taken it to said that this truck never was greased and really checked out. That the S.F. has never inspected the truck. My husband knows alot about trucks he's been driving and repairing trucks for 23yrs. But this is crazy.
My house is coming up on the 3rd month past due. No check! Going to S.F. truck payment and maintenance fees.
So Please if you are having the same problem with Schneider Finance let's start a class action law suit against their practices.

if you are having problems with schneider or sfi call ooida 800-444-5791 fax them contracts 816-427-4470 i know they charge a lot i stay in the neg 2 or 3 weeks at a time last week they cut my cash advances while on the road could not buy the def that the truck requires they left me out there to starve to death they left the fuel on they charge all most 1000 a week truck payments insurance &schneider charges and give very low miles 2200 to 2500 miles a week so last week i had to go home take all week off because of them lost all week so i will be in the neg again

Lets skip ahead to something you said...you are going to be late the third time on your house payment! This is serious business when you can't make the house payment. You and your husband need to change the game plan and change it now. He needs to get some money flowing into your accounts and the best way is for him to bite the bullet, turn in the truck and get a company job. With his experience, and provided he has a good safety record, which he probably does, then he can get a job very quickly!
It is clear this FLEASE arrangement is not working. 400k on a truck to start with is not good. Since it is out of warranty, no, they won't help you. Forget all the stuff about a C/A suit. That won't go anywhere. Most important...MOST IMPORTANT is to stop beating a dead horse and get that cash flow up. He wouldn't be the first IC to do this and certainly not the last!
