You want Schumacher to build you a home; you better think twice. They will NOT do as the say or guarantee. It is now 5 years and still the workmanship that they have done is not acceptable. They wait it out till your warrenties are out and then basically laugh in your face.
Still the same problems and they say they will send someone out to fix and nothing. They will not call you back even to set up an appointment to come out and finish the work they started.
As I sit here right now after getting off the phone with the general manager of Schumacher homes in Summerville, SC, I am total pissed off. He told me as I quote word for word, "Roxanne why are you calling me now with these problems." He knows that the warranties are up for the workmanship and I am sure he is just sitting there having a good laugh as 'THEY' have ripped of one more customer.
They say that that problem is that companies problem and that company says no that is your general contractors' problem. They did not even finish painting my wall were they had to come out and straighten out my dining room wall. Also even bringing a simple ballister on my stairway that still have not brought out. they put a ballister upside down and then took it out to get the 'right one' and after 3 years still no ballister. the local big box store probably has thousands of them and their main office is 1 mile away from them.
I would like for the owner of the company Paul Schumacher to call me and come out and look at what needs still to be done. Dishwasher not bolted to my counter, fireplace not totally put together, painting the wall, ballister missing, rotten wood by back deck. I could go on on and but all I can say if you want to spend thousands of dollars for your dream home and get a quality home PLEASE DO NOT hire Schumacher Homes.

As to my complaint filed about the shotty work and the un-professionalism with the manager of the Summerville, SC office I still have had no answers from them. I have had a lady froim corporate call me twice and I will call her tomorrow to give her the rundown on my home of 7 years. I have offered to fly 1st class Paul Schumacher with rental vehicle at airport and also hotel stay just to come to my home and look at the work that he is so proud of his company.
As I stated PLEASE Paul Schumacher come to my home and look. The 2-10 yr warrenty is a joke but when sold on it it sounded great. Got caught hook line and sinker on that one. It will only cost me to begin out with another $250.00 just to start it. I hope my conversation with the lady from corporate goes better than my last one with the manager of that office with his words' "Yes Roxanne, what is it now?" Losing my husband 3 months after breaking ground, 2 mini strokes and heart problems you would think that they would have a heart and at least have the respect to come look at my home. I forgot when they said they did try to get a hold of me or try to stop by I was not around. Geez maybe in hospital or therapy after mini strokes. Still same problems but now the french door off of the $16,000.00 'sunroom' is rotten up to 5 inches and all the way across. Still no painting done. I have had painters give me estimates and wondered why so high. Their explaination; Ms. Roxanne with all the prepping of getting all of the caulk and silicone that they used to put 'together' a 90* angle for your base moulding and the shortage of sheetrock that the silicone fell through cause it was to short we must basically start from scratch. Now I can see why a 'REPUTABLE' company would explain and price the way they did.
Hoping tomorrow, 3/9/2016 talking with the corp. lady I will get some of my wquestions answered and some work finished here that has been 7 years.
