This company is legitimate. They are a collections law firm. What they do is this: they buy debt from companies and try to collect it. If they can't collect it, then they take you to arbitration court. Arbitration court is a trial-like suit but it isn't in a real court of justice. So the arbitration judge rule is binding. But you can have it vacated if you make your case. Once the Judge awards the claim to Lowery law firm, it may then be really litigated in collection court.

The attorneys who work at Lowery could not find real jobs as an attorney and if they did, they couldn't hack it. One attorney barely passed the bar, another attorney took the job b/c this attorney couldn't find work after a couple of years out of law school. Scott Lowery is a very smart man. He started a company to provide work for the uneducated. That's right. The collectors are normal people doing their job. They are lucky to have been hired by this company. So cut them some slack. Realize that they too are in a lot of pressure to collect this money.

The environment at Lowery is rival and unpleasant. Everyone is competitive and aggressive. Gossip abounds in this office. These people even get a kick of having to collect debt from lawyers. And let me tell you, lawyers' costs and fees are so high because the cost to attend law school these days is as much as a house mortgage of $100,000.

My advise is get a good collections lawyer. A reputable one. They will be able to deal with this company better than you.
