I encountered someone matching the ripoff.com photo of "Sean Smith" calling himself Chris Clark. His company, Burbank Talent Management, placed a Craigslist ad for a Latina actress, convincingly specific about the role and shooting dates. After I submitted some photos, I was contacted via email by "Alex Atwater" and "Cindy Peele" saying that I won the role. I was asked to drive to a hotel 2 hours from Los Angeles to meet Chris Clark for the shoot.

Introducing himself, Chris Clark claimed that his company represented artists like P. Diddy. Though he said that the production crew was using the hotel, I saw no sign of video equipment or trucks. The only people I saw from the "crew" were Chris Clark and, briefly, his assistant "Brenda". He claimed he could help me find more work as a model or personal assistant. He asked me to check into the hotel for the shoot using my own credit card, claiming that the expenses would be reimbursed. On two instances he asked to use my credit card to pay someone else's expenses. (Of course I refused.) He asked that the name "Sean Smith" be added to the hotel reservation.

The video shoot never happened. The next day Chris Clark asked me to show up at Warner Brothers studios, but the studio guards had received no notice of the shoot. On the way home I stopped at 3500 Olive Street in Burbank, but could not find Burbank Talent Management in the directory. Though he did not get any money or free work from me, I am sure this man is a hustler. He wore the same distinctive necklace worn in the ripoffreport.com photo.
