Sears Appliance Repair Appliances don’t last and service warranty is a rip off Nationwide

M aybe it is the quality of the appliance and not just the repair work. Either way, I will not buy any more Sears appliances for my home, my client's properties or my rentals. I purchased a new stacked washer/dryer in January 2016. It has broken 4 times and each time it has taken over 2 weeks to get a repair appointment with Sears. The first repair was for the washer which needed a simple computer reset. I couuld have saved myself the time and trouble by unplugging and replugging, if I had known. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th repair were for the dryer belt. Under warranty for the first belt adjustment. 6 months later, same problem, which cost $283 and 3 weeks to repair. 40 days after that repair, same problem. Waiting on Sears to get an appointment to do warranty repair but the only dates they have available are 3 weeks away! The Sears repairman said almost half of the repair staff have left for higher paying jobs because Sears pays the lowest. He also tried to sell me an extended warranty on the appliance! So if you think you are getting a good service warranty, forget it! You can't get a repairman to show up for over 2 weeks and they probably dont know what they are doing and it will break again! But what does Sears care, they already have your money! Appliances are a crucial part of a household and no one can go 2-3 weeks without a working washer, dryer, fridge, etc.
