I filled out a raffle at a local Sears store, and two days later I was called and told that I had won a free vacation to either a 4 day cruise or a 7 day Mexican vacation! Imagine my jubilation. I was told to attend a 90 minutes informational session to claim my award, as well as a $100 restuarant gift card adn two $25 Sears gift cards. After a 90 minute pitch on a program to get you hotels more than 50% off, and resorts 70% off we were ushered into smaller groups to present the program and get our free vacations and gifts and of course ask for MONEY to join the Program.

We declined and were given the free vacation offer and gift cards. When we got home we called and after approximately 58 mins on the phone on HOLD, I was able to speak with a person who transfered me again to hold. This was done 3 times, to final person who explained my code was wrong and that I had been given a bad batch of codes for my vacation and that I would have to call back on MOnday. I did, and after another 1hr and 30mins, I was told my new number was expired sometime in April, when I was invited to attend in Decemeber and got the code in December.

I was then ushered and transferred again to another department to get "a new code" but it was a voicemail where I left a message of what transpired and how to contact me.

NO CALL BACK, NO VACATION, WASTED TIME,

I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP AT SEARS AGAIN.

Free Vacation Certificate

AUTHOR: Sears Vacations - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, January 19, 2017

The Free Vacation Certificates that you recieved for attending one of our events is not a scam. If you came in and recieved the certificate, we will still activate and honor that vacation certificate. This will give you the choice from the available check-in dates and properties that inventory provides, and we allow you some time to make your decision on when and where you would like to go.

Please reach out to us directly at social.media@searsvacations.com with your name and contact information so that we can look up your account information and verify whether you have either since resolved this issue with us directly, or if you still need to get this taken care of.
