I applied for a remote recruiting assistant job with Secured Benefits Connection. Shortly after my submission, I received an email from Courtney Brandt stating that I had been selected and was invited to "position overview call" with one of the managers to discuss the position in more detail. She gave me the number and password for the conference call and gave me some times to choose from. Here is the conference call number and password:  1-760-569-7676  passcode: (((Redacted)))

So, I call into the conference call at the specified time. The speaker gets on and immediately mutes everyone so that we can't ask questions or interrupt him at all. Then he stated that the postion is NOT a sales role and that we are just helping the recuriting team by placing ads and attracting job seekers for commission only (a complete sales role!)

The conversation began with talking about the company, the position, but then turned more about the products and services they sell and why they are so great. The guy talked for 40 mins about what the salespeople make at the company and what they sell: Legal Shield, some telemedical service, and a few others.

He then went on and said there were 2 jobs in this recuriting assistant role: a "junior" assistant and and "senior" assistant. He said that in order to become a senior assistant, we would have to buy Legal Shield for $39.99/month. The reason he gave for this stipulation is because: "when recruiting sales folks, you must show them that the products they would be selling are good enough for you to own. You prove to them its worth taking the job to sell Legal Shield because you actually own it yourself." ----> WHAT A LOAD OF BS!!

He said that if we weren't interested in becoming a "senior" assistant (in other words weren't dumb enough to buy Legal Shield), that we shoud reconsider whether this is the right company for us. He then said we had to decide quickly as they were filling the positions very quickly, and hung up the phone.

All in all, I wasted an hour of my life listening to this BS sales pitch masked as a job opportunity. This company is only after your wallet and has no intention of hiring you for a job!! Don't listen to their BS and waste your time!
