I opened an account on September 3, 2017 and paid one dollar for services for 24hrs. It was stated that the account has to be canceled in 7 days or you will be charged 39.95. I canceled the account the sameday I opened it. I submitted an email request for cancellation because that is how it is instructed to do on the website. I received an email from the company, stating they received my request and the account would be canceled and if there were any additional questions they would contact me. On October 3 my card was chardged 39.95.
I contacted the company and spoke with a very unpleasant customer service worker and I was told I did not cancel the account. I asked to be transferred to the supervisor and I was. I spoke with the supervisor and he stated the same thing although I told them that I have an email from the company stating I sent this request. Once I became upset, the supervisor starting telling me he would submit a request for a refund.
After that I forwarded the email to me that was previously sent to me from that company and I was told it would take 24hrs. I recieved an email today stating they will not be able to give me a refund along with the terms and conditions. I replied to the email that I want my money back because I did what i was instructed to do to cancel this account. I also called and spoke with the same unpleasant man I spoke with on yesterday and he told me to reply to the email with all of the same information I sent on yesterday. I am now awaiting a response.

I had the same thing happen to me. I only used the site for a few hours and canceled on the same day i opened the account and I was still charged. Now, they don't want to give me a refund and I actually have the email from the cancellation request and they still refuse to refund me. I am not letting this go. I have disputed this with my card company and I will go down further if I have to!

Also, I only used it for one day so I should still have my funds back. I used the services on 9/3 which is the sa,e day I opened the account. I didn't even use the services for 24hrs. More like 2-3 hours and I am being charged 39.95. SCAMMERS!!!

I have a rebuttal filed by this company with the wrong information. I contacted the company on September 3 requesting to cancel this account. I paid the 1.00 for the one day access. I canceled the acount immediaely after. I did not receive an email requesting more information until October 9. The email I recieved from the company on Sep 3 only stated that if they needed more infomation they would contact me.
I did not recieve an email requesting more information until Oct 9. I was not supposed to be charged at all and now they won't refund my money. You should work on your terms and condition. I was instructed to email and cancel this account and that is what i did. I was informed that the ticket number will assist with finding the cancellation request. It should state that you have to be email from the same email address.
It does not list that it just says email to cancel the account. It should not matter what email address the request is coming from as long as the request is submitted. However, I was not told that I can only send a cancellation request from a certain email address it just says EMAIL TO CANCEL ALSO IT SHOUD NOT MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I RAN A REPORT. IF I HAVE PAID FOR ACCESS I SHOULD BE ABLE TO RUN AS MANY REPORTS AS I WANT TO.
Instead of focusing on how many reports I ran you should focus on your customer service and NOT RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. I have noticed that there are several people that have had this same problem. Surely everyone is not lying about this company. It has happened to too many people. The company is a rip off and I want my money refunded and I will not stop!!!

We reviewed your case and we’d like to get back to you and clarify the situation a bit.
First of all, we’d like to clarify that the $1 trial membership is a 1 day membership, not a 7 days one. As clearly mentioned on the terms and conditions upon sign up, the membership is renewed automatically after trial period (1 day) at $39.95 every 30 days until cancelled. Please see attached terms and conditions on the screenshot.
Also, after further checking your screenshot, we noticed that the first cancellation email you submitted on 4th September was sent using a different email (ending with ams37@gmail.com) that the one used to create your membership on SeekVerify (that ends with isha@comcast.net). For this reason, we replied to your request asking you to submit additional details that could help us locating the account – please find attached records that we replied you on the same day asking more details. Unfortunately we never received a reply to our email and were therefore unable to proceed with your request.
After this, we didn’t here back from you again until 9th October, when you called our billing department and you were told that we the membership was still active since we didn’t receive a cancellation request for this specific membership.
Our billing representative cancelled your membership on 9th October as no previous requests for SeekVerify membership (with email ending with isha@comcast.net) were received.
The membership is now cancelled to avoid future charges, but you can still access the site until the subscription runs out. We have records of you using this background service and running one or more reports on SeekVerify.com. Each time a customer runs a report on an individual, a phone number, an email or an address, it costs us money to query the data providers, which is why we are unable to refund this transaction.
