Today I saw Shop Hq televisions program and they had a tablet on that I was interested in. I never ordered anything from this company so I decided to call the 800 number that was advertised. The customer service rep took my name address and phone as well as my bank card number. I never gave them my ss# nor dob.
I was given the payment info and how much I would be paying each month. No where in this conversation was I informed that my credit would be ran. A few hours later I received an email stating my order will be cancelled because of my credit. This is bad business, I never authorized this company to check my credit. The Rep told me when I called back that, my information is on the internet and thats where they got it. I feel violated this is not fair practices.
