I purchased my Viscom V32011 laptop back in December 2004. I quickly noticed like a hairline crack on the monitor going towards the screw area. I kept feeling it and it was really smooth so I assumed it was just made like that and it would be fine.
One day the screen just wouldn't go on so I called them and they quickly got it fixed. It was the light that went out. After it came back I noticed the crack on the casing is starting to open. By this time I'm already starting to go into my extended warranty.
I called the extended warranty and guess what it doesn't cover the cabinet area.
Then my space bar comes off and three keys are not working. I called the extended warranty again and they send the box for me to send back. I knew they wouldn't cover the cabinet area but they send it back and say it has physical damage and refuse to cover fixing the keypad.
The laptop sits on my desk and hasn't been abused in anyway. I have it for less than two years and I can't use it. Even to get parts for it is a difficult process. I still haven't been able to get parts for it.
I paid 1999.99 for it and I expect to last more than two years. It's made with cheap parts that don't last and than they tell you it's not covered under your warranty.
I refuse to buy anything from them again. They are just ripping off the consumers.
