I'm an over the road trucker, as is my husband. He was diagnosed with lymphoma (80% of bone marrow) in April of 2010. As a result of chemo beginning then, he wasn't able to work for about 9 mos. Everything I made went to cover 2 mortgages, his truck and trailer payment and all of our regular bills. In order to cover those expenditures, I had to charge fuel for my truck and maxed 3 credit cards. Although the cards were on low-interest promo rates, and I did my best to make the payments, the promos ended and the interest rates went thru the roof.
I received a call from Siler Financial Group and was told that, for $895.00, they would negotiate with my credit card companies for a lower interest rate and they guaranteed (on the phone and in the written material I was sent) to save me $7,500.00. I agreed and paid them (on a credit card) and was given a counselor, Thomas Schwartz, to take care of the negotiations. He was successful in getting one of the credit card companies to lower their 22.9% interest rate to 10% for 6 mos., with right of extension after that time if necessary. Since I only owed them a bit over $3,000.00, I was satisfied. Then he tried to deal with Wells Fargo without success. I am being flooded with letters from Wells, demanding money I cannot pay them.
Although I've called Thomas Schwartz's voicemail and Siler Financial Group many times, I am getting no positive response, or any response, from them. I called them, asking for a supervisor and was told that Schwartz would call me. I made it clear that he was to call me on my cell phone, as I was on the road. He did not do so. When I got home night before last, I found a voicemail message on my home phone from him. His message: "Well, I'm calling you, as you asked." I've tried to call him since and am unable to reach him or to get any resolution to my credit problem. I want my money back or I want a satisfactory result. It seems I'm not going to get either!!

SILER FINANCIAL MADE IT RIGHT.
AUTHOR: Older AND Wiser - (Virgin Islands (US))
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, March 17, 2010
After filing my original report, I was contacted by Justin Kenney of Siler Financial Group, who expressed his dismay at the treatment I received from one of their counselors. He was quite clear that my full purchase price would be refunded to my credit card.
I am happy to say that Mr. Kenney followed through with his promise to make me
whole and my full purchase price of $895.00 has indeed been credited to my card.
Although my previous experience with Siler lacked professionalism, I am impressed with their desire to satisfy the needs of their clients, either by performing as advertised or, in the event they did not perform, by refunding in full monies paid.
Although disgruntled by my original treatment from Siler, the recent follow up by them leads me to the conclusion that Siler is a "heads-up" company, and, to quote Martha Stewart, it's a good thing to find a company that has the integrity to stand behind its advertising.
