Simon Parr Auctions Ltd, of 5 Caroline Gardens, High Howdon, Wallsend, TWR, NE28 0BZ, UK, are an online retailer of autographs and collectibles, some percentage of which are knowingly fake.  They sell through the online portal "Invaluable.com", which hosts auctions for many reputable dealers...unfortunately this doesn't appear to be one of them.

I purchased several autographed items from them in December including Muhammad Ali signed boxing trunks, Matt Groening signed drawing, and Steve McQueen signed advertisement.

Each of the above noted items have been deemed to be "fake" from experts including PSA.  When I approached Simon Parr Auctions customer service about the issue, I was told that all items were cleared by their experts, and that I should have read the Terms and Conditions of their auction...which in fact basically say that it is the purchasers responsibility to determine the authenticity of any items being purchased.

When I further pushed the issue with Lauren from Simon Parr telling her that the boxing trunks were determined to be fake by PSA, they questioned the reliability of PSA.    They later asked why I went to PSA when the items came with a PSA certificate, which they subsequently noted that they had mixed up my item with another similar item, which came with a COA.  I found it interesting that they deemed PSA was unreliable, except evidently if they had a PSA cert to back it up.

Their advice to me was to "get out of the business of buying autographs", and again to read their T&C's.

They had no intension of offering any sort of refund, and made it clear that they in no way stand behind what they sell.

According to multiple other online reviews (and other Ripoff Reports) that I've read (unfortunately) since making my auction purchases, knowingly selling fake items is how they do business.

I would highly recommend that anyone thinking of purchasing an item from this company, think long and hard before spending (wasting) your hard earned money. I have been ripped off for @ $650 USD, so I would really suggest that everyone stay away from disreputable company.
