My then fiance and I attended a bridal show on a Sunday afternoon. All the vendors present were giving away door prizes in which you had to sign up for at each table. We treated Simplicity Gourmet no different than the rest. We put our name, address, and telephone number on a card, and dropped it in the box. Within that week, I received a phone call saying that we were selected to receive a free honeymoon! All we had to do was come view the products and pick up our voucher, no obligation.

We decided to go and see what it was all about. We watched the demonstration and listened well to what the representatives had to say. We ate and discussed a lifetime of living healthy together, and decided to purchase a set that was about $3000.00.

What we were told that persuaded our decision to buy, is that we would receive 200 "registry cards" that I could put into invitations to my bridal shower and the wedding, and that instead of buying gifts, friends and family could make a payment on our cookware. The representative said that most people doing it this way have their cookware paid off within the first year! Since both of our families are fairly large in size, we thought it was a good idea. The cards never came.

Phone call after phone call with no answer and no return, message after message unanswered, we lost faith in the company. We tried to contact by email still with no return. Now, after paying for a wedding ourselves, and buying a new home, we are daunted by the $2600.00 left to pay, with an interest rate so high that if we can only make a minimum payment, the remaining balance barely changes. This isn't what we planned on that day. We look at that beautiful shiny cookware with disgust.

The night of the "show", the representatives said that if we ever had any questions on use and care of the products, they would be there for us anytime. "Just give us a call, and we'll come on down and show you if that's what you need!" We have never, not once, been able to contact a person, and never, not once, have any of our phone calls been returned. Along with our cookware came an instructional DVD that has a lot to be desired. I had questions immediately after watching it. I tried to contact the company for a little Q and A session. It has been about a year now and I,ll probably never know how to use my $3000.00 investment. On a positive note, I'll most likely not have to contact them regarding product replacement, since it rarely gets used, I don't foresee and handles or knobs coming off any time soon.

I have to say that I am rather disappointed with the lack of service and support for what I still believe is probably a really good product. I believe in cooking healthy for my family, and I feel I have the right tools, just not the right knowledge. It's a shame that you don't educate and support the people that could help your business thrive, your customers.

Also, we were not able to use the voucher for vacation. Due to our wedding being close to a holiday and the dates on it that it could not be used, and us not being able to get time off work together, we pitched it. Another big let down. We put Simplicity Gourmet at the top of the list of mistakes we've made, and there is where I think they'll stay.

I work in the customer service department.  It sounds like you may have called the phone number for a sales rep and not the main customer service line.  We have a call log that tracks all calls and we always respond within 24 business hours from the customer service dept.

Sometimes we call and call a number with no voice mail set up.  If you still have questions about your cookware, please call the main customer service line directly at 1-866-897-7676.  We look forward to hearing from you.
