Skin Opulent advertised that five sharks from Shark Tank invested in product. They offer a small sample for the cost of shipping and handling $4.99. They placed three charges on my account...1. 4.99 2. 5.95 3. 1.00. These charges were pending for days then disappeared for a week or so. Then they were posted transacations on February 14, 2017. On February 28, I received a charge of $89.95 for Skin Shimmer on my debit card. I immediately called Wells Fargo and Mike in Sioux Falls directed the phone call to the company. The representative stated that the box was checked for agreement to terms and conditions and she could offer a 50% courtesy refund.

Mike then explained the rights of consumers under the Federal Law and she put us through to the supervisor. He listened and debated the information that Mike provided under Federal Law. He offered 75% refund as a courtesy. Mike was extraordinary, he did not relent. The supervisor then offered a 100% one time courtesy refund within 5-7 days. Mike explained that banks deal with companies like this daily. They offer a free trial and then charge huge amounts for the product if consumers do not cancel within a certain period. He said the companies play a numbers game, they work off of the consumers who do not notice for weeks if at all. He said they just move from one name to the next with the same scam, changing the company name. Lesson: do not purchase anything from a company that is unknown.
