Skipton & Associates is a scam . They claim to be able to "negotiate" flood (and fire) losses for you a gainst your insurance company. They promise they can make you two or three times the money. The true situation is that they pretty much just take 10% of the settlement check and dont do anything. They have a big office thst is EMPTY!! They don't return calls, if you go to their fancy office there is never anybody there, And even when they talk to you it's mostly excuses and doubletalk. The President of the company is a weird fundamentlist Christian young guy named Justin. What a jerk! "Trust me. I am a Christian." (Then he did NOTHING except take my money). Anybody who trusts this company is a SUCKER

This is a Fake Review

AUTHOR: Justin Skipton - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, February 22, 2016

Please do not utilize this review to judge our business, as it is not a real review from a client. This is a fake review likely from a competitor looking for an advantage. We have never handled a claim for a Kiki. We have asked ripoff report to remove this fake review or have the author provide some sort of proof that they have ever worked with us. It would be really easy to do if it was true review. Put up a copy of the Notice of Loss form. We are severly disappointed someone would take the time to try and harm us with a fake client review. :(

Not All Claims Are Alike

AUTHOR: ClaimAdvocate - ()

POSTED: Monday, June 01, 2015

I have been in the insurance adjusting business for 45 yrs working inside the nations largest insurers where experience inside the companies does make a difference. Having worked as a Corp Director, trainer, author and SIU Mgr, I can tell you the younger generation wear coolaid sunglasses. Most have rarely worked inside the carriers corporate office where managers do low ball and deniy coverage almost daily. Since retiring away from the insurers, I have advocated for strict compiance with the statutes governing Public Adjusters. You may need to file a complaint with the Arizona Insurance Commssioner to start a file with them and let them do some research for you. Thats that they are there for and paid for with your tax money.

A PA must conform to the codes and being responsive is one of them. Keeping you in the loop is an always thing to do daily, not a sometimes thing to do. I am assuming you may want to cancel your contract for non-performance, so ask the PA for a copy of all docs and communication itenerary they have. You may need the DOI to get them for you in your request.

As for not getting you 2-3 times more money is arbitrary as nobody can guarantee the outcome of any claim. Sounds like sales hype. However, I always get 30-60% more money than a homeowneer can get on his own by the very nature of the claim process. The compnay adjuster works for your insurer, not you. They have an inherent conflict of interest in the outcome. I got most of my raises and promotions by paying as little as possible while being appluaded by the insurers VP I onced worked for. They pay on the sub contractor prices, but as a PA I go after and win the Retail Cost for a General Contractor, thats a 60% margin of profit the contractors work on. I then make sure all funds are paid to you and NOT any contractor program regulated by the insurer who controls the pet contractor programs. EVEN THE CONTRACTORS DONT WORK FOR YOU, ITS AN ILLUSION. They work and depend on work from the insurer.

If you have a denied claim, a good PA who is a coverage expert foremost and first, can reverse those denial of coverage, afterall the agent convinced you that everything was covered when you bought the All Risk Golden Goose policy, then after a claim, they convince you that nothing is covered, or you must accpet 40 cents on the dollar for cheap repairs.

There are hundreds of nuances in every claim to be considered. Only a PA with inside insurer experience knows where the claim protocol flaws exist and how to circle the wagons so to speak to out flank the insurer who is also using "gamesmanship to pay as little and as slow as possible to you. Thats the real world of claim adjusting.

Sounds like you need to get out of one contract and hire a seasoned Claim Advocate with decades of claim experience and not just those who are appraisers or closers. There is more to your claim than "just writing an estimate."
