Smart Business Contacts Lied about contact quality and then refused to honor refund in contract - STAY AWAY New York New York

This company ran a total scam and then disappeared on me.

They told me that they had certain fields within contact information, then delivered a file that had false information in that fields. They also guaranteed 95% deliverability in the contract, and promised a refund for undeliverable addresses. I was cautious but felt that with this component of the contract, if it didn't work out they would at least refund me for the undelivered emails.

We had a 40% bounce rate, the worst I have ever seen from a contact list. In addition, they had one field that was full of false information. When I flagged this to Chris Johnson, who was my main contact, he went silent for weeks.

I escalated this to Kevin Roach, who I had found on LinkedIn. He then referred me to their "attorney", who I believe was named Alan although he refused to give me his contact information. "Alan" yelled at me repeatedly on the phone, called me offensive names and used an incredibly condescending tone. He told me he was recording the conversation, I believe in an effort to threaten me.

"Alan" told me that Chris Johnson had been let go, and that Kevin would help me. Kevin then also went silent, especially after I pressured them to give me a refund as it is outline in our mutually executed contract.

This company is a complete scam, with horrible employees from top to bottom. DO NOT respond to any of their email solicitations, or do business with them in any way. STEER CLEAR.
