They called my home phone saying they're giving a 10% discount for any home heating account to "qualified customers". They wanted me to provide them with my current electric/gas utility account number for PG&E (Pacific Gas & Electric). It sounded like a scam right off the bat. I said, "what makes me a qualified customer?" He said that anyone using energy for heating is a qualified customer. I said I'd call back and he gave me his name and number:

When I did a Google search on the phone number, I came up with the scam reports. They want to get your heating account number so they can switch your account over to them. This has now been verified as I have read other complaints of people actually going through with it and then trying to switch back to their original utility company.
