Smith Gromann and Davidson, P.A. must really be blood thirsty for money. I signed up with them for a loan modification in an attempt to save my house. They were supposed to draft my checking account for the first payment on a Friday but tried to take the money out before then on Wednesday causing my account to be overdrawn. I immediately got a call from a very rude man who identified himself as Dale Harges from The Debt Advocacy Center. He threatened me by telling me I committed a Federal offense by passing a bad check over State lines. This A-hole continued to belittle me and threatened to call the local cops and my employer if I didnt pay right them. I wanted to cancel but was threatened again that they would put a lien on my house.

Smith, Gromann and Davidson is a lawfirm that specializes in various debtors' rights issues, including loan modifications. We have been defamed in a number of complaints in the so called rip off report. First, none are true either in their complaints or in their allegations related to the relationship between the lawfirm and the Debt Advocacy Center.
We have requested that the complainants contact us directly to discuss their issues but they refuse to identify themselves.
Sites like the rip off report are irresponsible and often guilty of extortion.

Basically, any competitor, disgruntled employee or client whose complaint was not given credence by the Attorney's Disciplinary Committee can use the rip off report to cause damage to which the firm cannot respond.
