Softwarepros advertises, "Download the Latest Version of Your Favorite Software and Get Unlimited Support." When I did a search for "free Photoshop" programs, it brought me to Sofwarepros.com. I thought I was purchasing the actual Adobe Photoshop downloadable. After having paid $96.96 on my credit card, I was directed to Member Login. Once I logged in, I clicked on the Photoshop icon thinking it would start installing the program to my computer. Instead, it took me to Adobe's website which asks whether you you want to download a 1-month free trial program or pay for the program itself. I then requested to get a refund back and when I tried calling the 866 number, it had an automatic service and you are required to leave information about your request. I could not speak to a live person. Additionally, you cannot write directly to the company but simply leave an online email message to company. In any event, I sent the company an email about my refund. Their response was "As stated on our website, our software is free (or evaluation versions). You are paying for the online help and support and the online tutorials for the lifetime of the membership..." It then also tells me I cannot get a refund. Specifically, they say, "Unfortunately, we are unable to fulfill your refund request. You logged into your membership and accessed the download for Adobe Photoshop. As stated in the refund policy you accepted during your purchase, "If you have accessed the member's center and downloaded any software via the service, membership is nonrefundable." Had I known that I was purchasing "unlimited lifetime" support and tutorials rather than the actual program, I would not have purchased it from Softwarepros. I would have gone directly to Adobe Website -- their tutorials and support are free irregardless of whether you buy any of their programs. Anyways, Softwarepros is intentionally misleading. I've asked my creditcard company to investigate them. For all of you out there, DO NOT be tricked into buying "software" from Softwarepros because you aren't getting the software. You're purchasing a bogus "unlimited tutorials and support." You shouldn't have to pay for this because tutorials are being offered for almost every kind of software out there, free of charge on the internet or "Youtube." Software is scum and they are scamming everyone out there with their false advertising!!
