A friend recommended this service. He was my sponsor, so when my contract with a major carrier ended 4 months later, I decided to give it a try. I found out that my "sponsor" ditched them. But I decided to give them a try since I was tired of paying such high costs.
I signed up with them and for the last 9 months have had nothing but trouble. Dropped calls, no service area, calls taking up to 3 minutes to connect, etc. The spoonsor that I did end up with said I was a better man than he was for putting up with it for so long. He is a staunch supporter but he was getting as frustrated as I was in trying to find out why the coverage was so terrible.
The area that I used the phone in was usually driving between Scottsdale to South Gilbert both in the Phoenix Metro area. So it was NOT a rural or questionable area. During that 50 minute drive, I would inevitably drop the call and have to redial at least 3 times. The loss of hair and the high blood pressure for the poor service was not worth the cheaper price. Never forget - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Numerous Phones

I wish it was true. Unfortunately, the problems were with my phone (a HTC One S)...my partners phone (Google Nexus on his own Solavei account).....my Solavei sponsors phone (Samsung Galaxy 4 on his own Solavei account)..... and a new phone for my partner after his phone went swimming with us in the lake (Another Google Nexus). They all had the same crappy issues. And before someone thinks that it must be the fact that I am in a remote area - the city of Phoenix and Scottsdale is not a small rural or remote cowtown.
As for contacting Solavei, my sponsor is one of the origional founders of the company. Officially, the company sent my partner a written apology for all the service issues and for having to contact them soooooooo many times in an effort to get the issue resolved. If I only had a dollar for every phone call I made to Solavei in an effort to get a resolution - they would be paying me to keep the phone.
I really wanted it to work out. I really did and I gave them the benifit of the doubt. My sponsor said I stuck with it more than he would have. He would have ditched them sooner than I did if he experienced what I did. He spent countless hours troubleshooting with me and my partner to make it work.

Regarding service problems you experienced, you should have your phone checked out. When I was with a different major carrier, I was not even getting calls at times, dropping calls, messages not being recorded and phone not even ringing when being called. Found out that even though the phone was new and high tech at the time, it was the phone that was the problem and had it replaced . To say that i never had a dropped call with Solavei is not what I am saying, it is rare, bu, then I had quite a few with Verizon when I was with them and nine out of tem times it was the phone that had a problem. If you have dropped your phone, once or more, it makes a big difference with the performace of phone. Rather than blame the provider, check your phone first, chances are that will solve yor problem and I would recommend calling Solavei service to get it handled.
