We wanted to purchase electric ride-on cars for our children. We searched the internet and located on well-known online shopping website, advertisements from SoldSmart International for the items we wanted at $179. However, when accessing the link the price suddenly changes to $222.95. We contacted SoldSmart International directly and the communication from Team Leader Mike we found unprofessional and he would not honour the advertised price.

Given that we wanted to purchase the items for our children we purchased the items at the more expensive cost. After this purchase was made, Team Leader Mike emailed us stating "We request you to wait until January, we probably will have the item back with the price of $179.00". I emailed back to him stating that our purchase has already been made. Again no customer service was offerred by Team Leader Mike to offer good will or even acknowledge their false advertising.

I requested on numerous times for the Manager or Customer Service Manager to contact me - to date this has not occurred and Team Leader Mike has refused to provide this persons details or contact number. I did receive an email from Team Leader Mike on 22 December 2008 "Hello, Thanks for your email. The C.S.Manager will contact you within next 48 hours. Merry Christmas Mike Customer Support Team Leader". No contact has occurred. On the 12 January 2009 we received two electric cars, however, one was the incorrect colour (which we paid extra for) and both vehicles were damaged.

I immediately telephoned SoldSmart International to advise them of the damage and incorrect item. I was told they do not have a customer service call centre and contact needed to be completed via email. Of course I followed this advice, I received an email back requesting I provide details of the order and provide evidence of the damage/issues. I did this immediately on the 12 January 2009 and since this time I have had no response from SoldSmart International.

I emailed the information again on the 15 January 2009 and also requested the Customer Service Manager to contact us. Still no communication from SoldSmart International has occurred. I would not recommend anyone to make any purchase from this company due to our experience of extremely poor customer service and the inferior and damaged goods that have arrived and SoldSmarts apparent refusal to make any attempt to address the issues.
